To rent, a lovely one bedroom flat in a leafy part of Forest Hill

The flat is in a detached impressive period mansion block and has its own allocated off-street parking. The flat is characterful with high ceilings, cornices, ceiling roses and large bay sash windows which make the flat light and airy. There?s a separate eat-in kitchen (white goods included), a spacious living room which has a fireplace, large dining table, sofa bed, and a large bedroom with fitted double wardrobes. It has a storage/coat cupboard in a decent sized hallway ? there?s no shortage of space! There?s also a cleaner and gardener who serve the communal areas of the building and the outside green space (the cost of this is included).

The flat is located two minutes from Forest Hill Station with the overground to Highbury and Islington, and the train line to London Bridge and Victoria. It?s 15 minutes to London Bridge, 30 minutes to waterloo and Victoria and 15 minutes to Canada Water (nearest tubes are Canada Water and London Bridge). It?s also 2 minutes from the gorgeous Horniman Gardens and 5 minutes from Sydenham Woods. East Dulwich is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus journey.

Available from the end of December/beginning of January. I would like to let the flat to a couple or individual who appreciates my lovely home and will treat the flat like their own. The flat will be let fully furnished.

Rent: ?1200 per month excluding bills and council tax.

Contract: one month?s rent as deposit and one month?s rent in advance. I will be doing credit checks and will require references. The flat is offered on a 6 month minimum contract and ideally I?m looking for long term tenants.

I've included a link to some photos (below) but please get in touch with any questions and to arrange a viewing.

    • How can a supermarket "run out of gas"? Was that a joke? The Metro article is referring to the central gas supply, surely? Which hasn't actually run out yet.   I said "local" press. And the reason would be that the bad publicity might push Sainsbury's head office to improve what sound like presently appalling conditions for their DKH staff to work in. Yes of course there are terrible things happening all over the world. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to change things which we might be able to have an immediate impact on locally.
    • What good would it do reporting it to the press? If one thinks it is a major issue, just for a moment, think about the hardship in cities in Ukraine where residents  are lucky to get one hour of electricity a day and where water is not being pumped to residential blocks.

    • My wife was told that they'd run out of gas. Perhaps we'll all have none this time next week?   https://metro.co.uk/2025/01/11/uk-running-gas-shortage-level-warning-explained-22341055/
