They were getting better but spent the night at Kings after I called 999 as my B/P was 193 /110

Kings advised I need to have a Holter Montor (24hr Heart Monitor) fitted and gave me a letter for my G.P.

DMC refused to see me and would not accept the letter. and I have to queue up at 08.00 tomorrow in the cold and wet

with elevated B/P .. Heart pulpitaions and fractured ribs just to get a telephone appointment.

Ribs painful today after sitting up at Kings all night. Got out at 07.00 this morning.

Don't know what is happening at DMC. They were closed 12.30 - 16.30 today for staff training..

Foxy

Yikes, Foxy. Do look after yourself. For what it's worth, there's a department at Kings that can organise the 24-hour ambulatory BP test for you. My surgery told me that when I had it done as theirs was booked up a few weeks ahead. Wonder if it would be worth going back to the hospital and say you can't get a GP appointment and you're worried, so could they help you set it up direct? Or call SELDOC or NHS 24 or whatever it's called now and get them to help?

Maybe time to think about changing doctors? Sounds like they're making things worse rather than helping. Let me know if you want details for the surgery I go to as they're better than DMC.

    • Use Aria and AFE Plumbing when plumbing issues at a rented house. Came in to sort job at weekend at very short notice to fix problem with bathroom sink. Recommended.
    • I thought they were having a revamp ... at least I'm sure that's what one of the staff said a couple of months ago.    HP
    • If you're looking for stunning, long-lasting and eco-friendly raised beds for your garden I can strongly recommend Ben (gardener-carpenter based in Camberwell) who recently made a set of raised beds / planter boxes for my garden! We had a consultation on the phone, he shared some ideas and options plus prices and then I sent him my desired measurements for the planters and he had them built and delivered to me within 2 weeks. He can also fill with compost and help with planting selection and sourcing. I'm so happy with these and Ben's fantastic craftmanship! He uses a wood preservation technique called Yakisugi to not only ensure the timber has long life but create a beautiful striking effect by bringing out the grain. He also uses reclaimed wood and natural oil to treat the boards, so they are safe/perfect for food-growing. See the photos below and if you would like some planters or other pieces built for your own garden, get in touch with him on his contact details here: email: [email protected] phone: 07757268809 Whether you’re after raised beds, compost bays or garden furniture, Ben's your man to create something unique, durable, and sustainable. I can't recommend his work highly enough!
    • Hey there. I am also looking for this! We have just moved here. Thanks!
