Hello, I?m looking for a nanny to start January 2017, based in Herne Hill, to look after my happy, easy-going little boy who will then be 15 months old. The days would be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (ie a 4 day week with Tuesday off) and ideally the hours would be 7.30-5.30 (though this may be negotiable). I am looking for an experienced nanny with fluent English and pay is negotiable, depending on experience.

From January 2017 to March 2017 we are staying in Brixton while work is being done on the house, so the job will be based there during that time. We will move back to the house in Herne Hill in March.

Please PM me at [email protected] with a copy of your CV if you are interested in meeting to discuss the position

All best wishes

    • There is a small tabby cat which seems quite distressed and lost behind the bins outside the back yard of Superdrug at the Lordship Lane end of North Cross Road. It is terrified, running in and out of Superdrug’s back yard and across the road and back again, and looks as if it could be pregnant. It is also starving – a passer was feeding it. We weren’t able to catch it as it was too scared. Did ask the Neighbourhood Vet if anyone has reported a missing cat, but they said not.

Whether it's the same female breeding with another male now, or a different pair, who knows. I have photos from a very similar time last year (see attached from 1 Feb 2024) and the year before, as the Egyptian geese always surprise me with their earliness, but all (most?) of the goslings made it to adulthood last year, so it's a strategy that works for them.
