With less than 50 shopping days to Christmas, South London based SoLo Craft Fair could be the answer to all your shopping needs.

From art to jewellery, fashion to homeware, SoLo?s five South London events will showcase over 70 London crafters, offering beautiful and unique locally made gifts and Christmas shopping experience to beat out the highstreet.

Thought up by founders Catherine Dunne (London Lily) and Rebecca Hunter (Drawn Together Art) over a Christmas drink in 2015, the new South London ?Craft Festival? may only be a year old but it is already taking South London by storm, having hosted eight markets and represented over 150 creative traders.

It all started with a simple idea: To create a market with a difference.

"We wanted an event which showcased all elements of creativity, an event which really has something for everyone no matter your age or interests? said Rebecca Hunter.

?Our emphasis is on the customer experience, rather just just an opportunity to shop - guests have left our events having tried something new - like laughter yoga, or having been introduced to a new band or musician? Catherine Dunne adds.

Events have included collaborations with CatfordFest, Clapham Village Fete and Forest Hill Fashion Week. Each market is tailored to the venues and surroundings.

Over the year SoLo Craft Fair has showcased creative traders, whom demonstrate the height of local creativity while also playing host to musical performances, swing dance lessons, laughter yoga and poetry writing all take place within their events, coining the term 'Craft Festival'.

The festive season will be no different. With five events planned across South London pubs, shoppers will be able to meet all their Christmas needs, and take part in workshops such as a free ?stitch and b*tch? session, an ?unlucky portrait dip? with The London Drawing Group and a 'make your own terrarium session' with Make Good.

And with a Christmas wrapping station, a kids zone to keep the young ones occupied and drinks and food available at all venues, SoLo Craft Fair aims to make your Christmas shopping both easy and fun.

    • Yep, his manifesto didn't say anything about removing the winter fuel allowance, or that they'd increase employers NI insurance contributions, or that they'd increase inflation, or they'd create a situation whereby employers are reducing their headcounts and not recruiting staff because of the economics they have created, what happened to we'll reduce energy costs by £300 per household, or that they'd increase Inheritance tax on farmers. Its more about what they didn't say they'd do rather than what they said they would do.  They were not open or transparent about what they'd do once in power.  They fooled the electorate, in five years time this country will be bankrupt.  Because so many people are signing the petition asking for a new election, that is because people are fed up with what the Govt are doing to its citizens, including taking away the freedom of speech.
    • Yep, lots of "we fully appreciate, while we appreciate, we also understand and we understand", no bark and no bite, she's rolled over like a puppy. We stand no chance with someone who manages to say something that actually says nothing.
