You have tried to improve matters with counselling. Would you like permission to walk away now?

We really can't give you permission. Only you can. If there is a better option, you will already know what it is. But if walk away is your best option now, it sounds like you want to plan things to minimise the upheaval for your girl.

None of us can know what you need to do now. Whether your decision will be stay or go, I wish you strength to take it, and a happier future. x

Hi Peckham_Ryu, no I am not looking for permission to walk away as that is a decision that I, and I alone have to make but relationships need a number of key elements to thrive, stay strong and last the duration. Good communication, intimacy, not meaning sex, and making time for each other are 3 of the key elements, in my opinion, a relationship needs to thrive.

If anonymous don't see any probs sharing.

Sadly I don't have the answer but imagine many relationships are like this.

Do try 'Relate' if no one else has suggested, I am sure that is used to be free. Of course both of you will want to do this.

I thought that going to relate was compullsory before you could get a divorce. Not that I am suggesting the latter but thought that successive governments were keen on stable relationships. It was of course once the mariage guidance council.

Actually just had a quick look at the home page and looks really useful in a variety of circumstances.

Whats worse is that I should be tidying up which helps marital harmony and what am I doing? Meddling. Nuff said!

    • Keen to hear people’s recent experiences of applying to Southwark council for a dropped kerb. We are buying a house in the area and are extremely hopeful of getting one. It doesn’t 100% meet the council’s guidance (space wise the frontage is just short of the minimum length required between house and pavement) but other houses on the street already have a dropped kerb with the same space and, my reading of the guidance, is that the various factors are only factors that ‘may’ prevent the application from being successful. Also, is anyone here able to say how long they will take to carry out the initial feasibility survey?
    • This is what i've been doing. About 1 Delivery a week in Crystal Palace Road. They always say they've checked and 'no issues in the area'. Absolute b0llocks. I say to them check again. Next stop writing to CEO.  Utter shambles.
