Hi all, apologies for asking these boring questions, but I can't find any enlightenment on the Ryanair site. (Oh and in case you're wondering, yes I am regretting making the bookings now).

Whenever you book through Ryanair is there actually a way of opting out of the online check in procsss?

Secondly, I went to do the actual check in bit yesterday where I was informed that I could not check in Mr WQ online as he is not a European passport holder. Now given that I have already paid for online check in, does this mean that I am still going to have to stump up at the airport to get him a boarding pass?

Update!

I misunderstood about the non-EU bizzo. I have managed to print out Mr WQ's boarding card, but GET THIS! I still have to get the boarding pass stamped at a check in desk EVEN THOUGH THIS FLIGHT BEGINS AND ENDS IN THE UK!!

I am really raging with myself for relenting on my cardinal rule... never to travel with Ryanair, even if alternatives add hours to the journey.

I am still none the wiser as to whether or not you can opt out of the online check in.

Ryanair are the pits and would charge for the air you breathe if they could get away with it. Horrible airline - best avoided.

Personally I'm stil reeling from the ?3.75 for the small bottle of water in the minibar of my room at the Brighton Metrople this weekend. FFS - it's just water.

So is the stuff in the tap and it's free.

Ryan air is OK (GBP 23 Milan to Prestwick - who can argue with thast?) as long as you dont want to eat or drink anything on board and dont mind not being able to reserve a seat - generally not a problem if you are travelling on your own. The cardinal rule should be to avoid Heathrow if you can - we sat waiting for a parking space at T4 for 50 mins last Fri - (Alitalia) that would never happen with Ryanair.
