Fidgetsmum
Flying to US next week with nearly 3yr old. Just read loads of threads across the internet that kids headphones are a must as the ones they give out on the aeroplane are too big, and the ones we have at home are the 'stick right in your ears' ones that won't stay in her ears. It's too late to order online and I can't get into town so I'm hoping someone might have a pair we can borrow or buy? Thanks! Ondine
I have a 10 yr old who still can't manage ear buds so we've had loads of this. We've done fine with the cheapest most adjustable set of over the ear headphones you can find in the airport. The Nappy Lady
Yes, I've seen kids headphones at Gatwick - they had a noise limiter on them too which I thought was good. Ones I saw were ?25 but I'm sure there were cheaper options too. melbourne groover
We found the old-school style "cans" worked really well for our 4 yr old because they cover her ears completely they are really comfortable - saves having to buy a new pair if you have them already. candj
We got our kids (ages 3 and 5) the Skullcandy ones from HMV. I think they are for adults, but work perfectly well for even our 3 year old (very padded and adjustable). We went to the HMV in Hong Kong but hopefully they carry the same stock in their stores in London. Good luck.Edited to add link - ours are the lowrider ones and they do sell them here in the UK. Fidgetsmum
Brilliant. If we can get them at Gatwick, we'll go for that. Thanks for all the advice - all noted down in my 'if I write loads of lists then maybe I'll stop panicking' notebook.
