Sdg Windows se26 their quality is as good as local favourite but almost half the cost. Owner Vic is great to deal with.

Search for Paul of "Scenic Windows" Many recommendations on this site. Scenic have replaced a number of windows for me, excellent products service and price.

Gosh...hadn't thought about that...all windows are timber but patio door (which is what we want to change) is plastic/metal (I think). Thanks RD.

Thanks everyone for your responses so far...please keep them coming as I'd like to obtain several quotes. Also, I'd appreciate any feedback on experiences with the companies themselves and their quality of work. I know...I'm asking quite a lot. :))

I've used KK Windows based in Herne Hill for replacing a uPVC back door and adjoining window. Service was very good, and they provided the FENSA certification too.... http://www.kkwindows.co.uk/
