This easy-paced sociable ride starts at the Park Life Cafe in Burgess Park (Chumleigh Gardens SE5 0RJ) at 10am. The cafe is next to the playground and close to the Albany Road entrance, although you can get to it from all park entrances, of course. Pleasant, friendly, inexpensive cafe serving inexpensive filling food and hot drinks.

Three parks and a Cemetery

The route goes through Peckham to Nunhead Cemetery which is a wonderful romantically-overgrown Victoria cemetery for those who don't know it. Then it circles back to Southwark Park in Rotherhithe and back to Burgess Park for 12 noon. It's largely through parks with quiet roads and paths between them.

Award-winning ride leader Bruce Lynn added to his trophy haul with a "Highly Commended" for his July Butterfly Ride from the London Cycling Campaign. The award said: "This ride was praised for being particularly welcoming and well-planned ? with picture sheets to identify butterflies and a gentle route to wildlife nature gardens." http://lcc.org.uk/articles/campaigner-awards-winners-2016

No butterflies on Saturday but you will meet "welcoming and well-planned" ride leader Bruce Lynn. If you are not so well-planned or want more info you can contact him on 07729 279 945.
