sewing/ dance costumes / put some sparkle in your life

Hi all, I'm a textiles graduate living in the area, currently working full time, but when my contract comes to an end in the new year, i want to start doing more of what I love, (and am good at!)

I have been working on a small scale freelance basis making costumes for art films, tribute acts and dancers, (attached is an example of a Patsy Cline costume I made for a performer on P&O cruises on the Caribbean!)

If anybody is in need of such things, or can put me in touch with people who do, please do let me know.

Are there any local dance schools who compete and need costumes? Or do you or your child need something yourself?

I have years of experience with festival costumes - and have been doing them for my siblings for years, I'm a dab hand with a packet of rhinestones!

In addition I have lots of experience working with children, am DBS checked, and have thought of setting up sewing classes for kids?

I can also do alterations and more everyday sewing, making, drawing,

please do get in touch if you have a job for me, would like more info, or just have a few helpful tips!

or visit my website www.alicebardgett.com

thanks,

Alice

    • Please let me know if you have any pallets that you would like to be taken away.  Thank you.
    • Luckily that is an old closed telephone exchange building,  rather than someone's house.
    • Seriously though, I hope nobody was harmed in the making of that, because they must have veered right across the road before crashing, and only just avoided the tree. They must have been going pretty fast. Asleep at the wheel? Medical issue? Drunk? Young or stupid people messing about with a stolen car? (Apologies to young people, I know most of you aren't reckless). It was lucky they didn't hit something going in the opposite direction ( at least, I assume/hope they didn't) before they went over the wall. But I'm confused, because the broken part of the wall is in front of the car. Did they reverse in an attempt to get the car off the wall, and then made things worse? 😮
    • Oh, so that's what 'off street parking' means.
