Pickle
Ooooh, lovely!I'd go for all-out indulgence and go for a day at the Sanctuary. Mr Pickle treated me last year for my birthday and it was absolutely brilliant, I sat reading my book, sipping a glass of champagne with my feet up and relaxed more than I have for years. I have another voucher to use (he sensed it was a success so I got the same this year!) and can't wait to use it.P x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12879-recommendations-for-a-me-day/#findComment-354203 Share on other sites
Belle
don't try to fit too much i - I've done that and then got stressed which defeats the point. But maybe arrange a nice lunch for yourself somewhere, and take a good book/indulgent magazine? I had a foot treatment and pedicure at the Elemis spa and it was amazing, they give you nice smoothies before and after and whole experience was lovely. more locally, Therapy is an excellent salon, have had some nice treatments there including a v v good massage. If you went for Elemis, it's in that lovely bit of Mayfair, so you could browse some of the posh shops and then pop over to Selfridges. womanofdulwich
Try to make sure you are out the house ALL DAY as you might start to think after half a day that you ought to do those chorey type things ( always happens to me-). Enjoy. Make yourself gorgeous all morning- nice lunch with small amount of alcohol- a little browse of shops later on.. millsa
I had a voucher for a Mum-to-be foot treatment at the Elemis spa and went there when 8 months pregnant, and was utterly disappointed - mainly because the massage was rubbish and very short. It is a very nice venue in Mayfaif and it felt nice being in there, but the treatment was supposed to be 60 min long and it only took about 20 min - the rest was smoothies and 'just being there', which wasn't really the main thing I went for.I'd definitely go to the Sanctuary. and as womanofdulwich said, make sure you go out for the whole day, otherwise you might find yourself tidying the house or doing the washing etc. Enjoy!!! sanity girl
What about a massage with aloued, who is local and advertises on this forum and is brilliant, then lunch in town with a friend followed by a look round the shops. Or you could start with the shops, then lunch, then massage? That's what I would do!
