Undiscovered
As the big "H" falls on (a) Monday and (b) first day back, are people still planning on doing trick or treating on the actual day or on the Sunday? Just trying to be prepared!! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/128709-trick-or-treat-sunday-or-monday/ Share on other sites
FamilyinED
We will go out Monday. I wouldn't expect anyone to be giving out candy on Sunday unless some parents got together and agreed they would set up no go out on Sunday. Pickle
Monday. Not really something you can move unless surrounding neighbours agree too, otherwise there will be no doors to knock on. EDAus
If any little ones cannot eat chocolates or sweets but would like to participate in trick and treat if you private message me the little ones details i.e. age etc, we can get a little toy or another option available for them. I can private message you our address so you can come by on the night and collect the little goodies. Melph91
That's very sweet EDAus! Have you heard of the Teal Pumpkin project? By having a teal pumpkin outside (even a print out) it shows parents that your home has "treats" other than sweets etc incase any children have allergies. We'll be up and down CPR with our 3.5 year old - it will be her first time! Not sure who's more excited - ha! EDAus
Thanks Melph91 I had no idea will print one off. I have a small stock of things just in case. My nephew has ADHD which is made worse by sugar so we have always provided alternatives. Plus a friends little girl has sensory issues so we often do things earlier or later when things are calmer for her. I just want to everyone to have fun! yeknomyeknom
We've been out to admire the decorations. Some fantastic ones at the big houses on Marmora road. It's like being in America where Halloween is a big deal. There's some houses near the shops on lower Forest Hill Road and Colton. only 1 we could see on Dovedale. If anyone has spotted some good ones, let us know so we can make sure to have a look.
