I have washed sheepskins - buggy ones and the ones babies lie on the floor on, with soap flakes or you could also use 'woolite' hand wash detergent, and then a very light spin in the machine and then dried on the washing line. They came out fine and to get them looking like new, brushed them with a hairbrush when dry. I think I was brave enough to hand wash them because the buggy sheepskin I have advised handwashing with non-bio detergent. Hope that helps.

p.s AJ Farmers on Lordship Lane will have soap flakes and/or Woolite!

I wash mine with a short programme (not for delicates, just a short one that spins normally) at 30 degrees using a single Fairy non-bio tablet and it comes out feeling, smelling and looking fine. Just make sure you dry it flat, e.g. on its own on a laundry drying rack so it can dry quickly.

    • Article in today's Grauniad on how to save money on water bills. Though only if you are  on a meter. If you aren't on a meter, there's nothing you can do to reduce your bills, so far as I know. Though from an environmental point of view etc I guess it is always good to reduce your water usage where you can. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2025/apr/16/cut-water-bill-england-wales-best-ways-to-save?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
