private messages

why is it that when i click on private messages and see 3 in the inbox, and when i then click on the inbox i don't see the last new message and it gets deleted and there is only 2 in the inbox instead of three. Most annoying.

Please could you explain with a bit more detail so we can investigate. E.g. where do you click on private messages, what gets deleted etc
