kiwinanny24
Hi, my boss posted a thread to help me out with finding out where all the local nannies are hiding, and suggested it might be a good idea to add my own thread. I am a 24 year old kiwi, new to London, working as a live in nanny for a gorgeous and very sweet 21 month old girl. Although I am enjoying my time in London, I am finding it does get very lonely, especially since back home I was a teacher and so I am used to having contact with other adults all day everyday. My charge and I would love to meet some local nannies (or even some kiwi parents!) who would be happy to meet up for playdates and go to local classes together. Is anyone interested? Dulwich Born And Bred
I have a mummy friend who is from New Zealand and I know she would be interested in meeting up. She has daughter who is a year old. She goes to Ivydale drop in on Mondays plus we will be attending sparkle music after the holidays.I usually do nannying but have my own soon to be one year old boy so I don't mind meeting up with you also if you are in Dulwich. As a nanny I understand how lonely it can be if you do not have friends in the area and it is quite hard to make news friends as everyone does tend to be in their own little groups.Drop me a PM if you are interested. I am sure you will have lots of friends in time! legalalien
Good lord, this place is crawling with kiwis. Maybe I should organise some sort of Waitangi Day bash next year? Our son is a bit older (nearly 6) so not up for the playdate thing - but if you're living in and ever fancy some time out / coming over for a BBQ or babysitting (watching the Super 14) let me know! And do PM me and let me know where in nz you're from (the Bay, myself) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12750-nanny-looking-for-local-friends-for-playdates/#findComment-352063 Share on other sites
