Ris2011
HiHas anyone been to the toddler world at Crystal palace leisure center? Thinking of taking my 3 year old for a run around on Monday. New2ED
Yes - it's ok, but bit of a funny set up - find it too hot as it's in the same building as the pool. But there's a bouncy castle, and plenty of things for them to play with for an hr or so, and the park is lovely..Hope that helps! gebbjane
Tiny gym at camberwell leisure centre is very similar, in a big gymnasium always preferred it to toddler world.http://southwarkgymnastics.co.uk/classes/tiny-gym/On Monday and Thursdays 10,11 or 12 And also the weekends 10.15 and 11.15 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/127420-toddler-world/#findComment-1060419 Share on other sites
New2ED
Yes we love tiny gym too, much more to keep them entertained and set up changes each week. Much prefer the environment to toddler world, haven't been back there which says something!. Sometimes the earlier weekday sessions get full, so I'd just arrive 5-10 mins before. they do toddler swimming there too if you really want to wear them out! goldilocks
Tiny gym is ok for a 3 year old but the weekday classes tend to be more full of 18m - 3 years. I find that 3 is a tricky age for activities around this area as providers seem to assume that children will be at school nursery / preschool. Ris2011
I agree, I have only found one activity he enjoys at the moment. I have also looked at different preschools but haven't loved any of them so far.. I will keep trying to find different things to take him too...it gets harder when its cold outside. Pickle
I found the same with my children at that age. We loved (and still go to) Rascals soft play at Bellingham Leisure Centre. Very easy to drive to, if you have a car? Never as busy as other places, and just the right size. Also, my daughter really enjoyed the preschool gymnastics class at Beckenham Spa leisure centre. It was a number of years ago now, but worth looking at. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/127420-toddler-world/#findComment-1061842 Share on other sites
gebbjane
Southwark gymnastics (tiny gym organisers) also run a preschool drop-in gymnastics class 3-4 year olds. I've not been yet but keep meaning to check it out - there are two sessions on a Thursday afternoon.
