Come on ladies the worst has to be 'Katy's song' from I Can Cook. I don't mean the slippy dippy soap song, you know, that awful thing she does with the guitar when summarising the recipe, ie "tear up some chicken, pop it in a pot, splash some milk, add a bit of pepper". Total nonsense. Doesn't rhyme, doesn't sound good and that grin...

Katy isn't lovely, she's strangely sexless. Like Ceri. I don't know how the BBC do it but their presenters are all entirely nothing. Which maybe what you want from kids presenters I suppose.

(Apart from Sid I suppose, he's got something about him. Must be cos he's a Camberwell boy)

The spring time song was best, with the little boys in their tuxedos. You had to love it my daughter did. She learn't how to sing happy birthday to you last week from the little card showing section thingy'm'jig! Just in time for Nanas birthday this weekend. Now I will have to get a card to them in time for her 2nd birthday in February (hers not Nanas ha!)

Come Outside brings back memories, I used to love it myself when I was little.

Daughter loves;

Waybuloo - she now tries to do yoga whilst watching, rather cute really

Timmy Time - keeps her giggly and shouting all through breakfast

Night Garden - tears after dinner if she misses it

Chuggington - she even sings the song now, chuggy chugga chugga

3rd and bird is lovely, if I might say so myself. Not that I watch it myself..

"My hubby has a very big soft spot for that blonde girl who was in Higgle de Piggledy House"

aaah, the lovely Ms Honeywell. Can people stop bringing up lovely kids tv presenters please, I'm trying to get some work done.

*drifts off into daydreams, Emma Forbes .....sigh*

Oh, yes, Numberjacks has frightened my son since he was wee - the Teacher used to have him in floods, and now he is three he is still scared of those Number Takers but loves watching it anyway from behind his hands, bless him.

Can't imagine anyone fancying Mr Tumble, but I do rather admire his performing skills. He does make me laugh.

The other programme I can't bear is that one based on a farm where the real animals are sort of animated so they talk. It seemed instructive enough on first viewing, but it's awful. The narrator has such a naff voice and the stories are boring. And what about that young bloke who dances on Boogey Beebies? Where did they find him? What a plonker!

God I watch too much CBeebies.

    • The problem is Starmer can't shut up about his dad being a tool maker, they made Keir,  a right prize tool. Reeves continually blames the previous Govt, but correct me if I'm wrong but inflation was decreasing, unemployment was stagnant, with decreases and the occasional increase, things were beginning to stabalise overall.    Then we had the election 4 July when Starmer and co swept to power, three months on things are worse than they were before, yet Reeves continues to blame the former Govt. The national debt doubled overnight with public sectors all getting a wage increase and now the budget that penalises business with the increase in Employers national insurance. The result of which will be increased prices in the shops, increased inflation, increased numbers of redundancies, increased unemployment and increased pressures on the DWP to fund this    Future growth will go backwards and become negative, farmers will no longer farm in protest against the Govt, more people will become poorer and unable to pay their bills, things will spiral out of control and we'll have a repeat of the General Strike until this bunch of inept politicians resign and Kemi and co prevent the ship from hitting the iceberg and sinking.
    • Indeed so.  Just noting there are other options and many children and indeed young adults may well be perplexed and/or irritated by a cheque.
    • My experience of the CT is that when they screw up, their first instinct is to cover up. They are also shameless liars.
    • And that's your choice, but it's not everyone's choice.  Some people don't like or can't do what you do.
