Peckhamgatecrasher
Absolutely loved it. Second episode not quite up to scratch. It's like The Mentalist on acid. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12668-sherlock/#findComment-349837 Share on other sites
womanofdulwich
he is wearing too much make up - same mistake as Jeremy Brent made. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12668-sherlock/#findComment-349839 Share on other sites

lizzie
Yep 2nd episode was definitely the weakest but loved last night's and the ending was great Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12668-sherlock/#findComment-349893 Share on other sites
Moos
Agree with all of you (except those that missed it, obviously) but what? Three episodes and then a cliff-hanger? I didn't realise that another series was planned, so was expecting a resolution of some sort... maybe that's why I was left so flabbergasted at the end. .......
Definitely flabbergasated at the end of the episode. Apparently I was holding my breath waiting. I loved the first and third, second was a bit random really. Just a filler, but it could have been a better filler. And after London cabbies, I wasn't expecting some Chinese themed episode. TheArtfulDogger
I deduced the ending from the clues in the first episode (go back and watch again and you will understand) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12668-sherlock/#findComment-350078 Share on other sites
RosieH
I love Sherlock and I don't care about his make up (I loved Jeremy Brett too - I had often walked down these streets before, but the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before). But it's like the end of a Batman episode from the 60s - how's he going to get out of that one? I can't wait for the next series - when is it and will it be longer? Belle
I thought it was brilliant. Hadn't read any of the advance press so was totally suprised by the modern-day thing, but thought it was really well adapted. Cannot wait for more. SimonM
(I loved Jeremy Brett too - I had often walked down these streets before, but the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before). You do know he did not do his own singing in MFL of course? :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12668-sherlock/#findComment-350499 Share on other sites
RosieH
Did anyone? Rex Harrison perhaps, but he didn't sing so much as speak in time. Well, we can't put tHAT one out as teh 1st episode. or the last... stick it in the middle)Anyone else twig it was Moriarty when they first met? Moos
Well, I didn't, I must say. I thought he was just another instrument of torture for Sherlock to apply to the hapless mortician. I still haevn't quite got over the shock of a 3-part series that ends on a cliffhanger. I hope it comes back soon. Do you think we'll get to meet Irene Adler?Who would make a good Irene? She'd need to be cerebral and sinister, but very sensuous and beautiful.
