Now added a photo of the cat.

Hi all, i know how awkward this is given that my own cat is still missing, but for about a week now i have a black and white cat around that seems to want to adopt me.

I can not tell the gender as its a very scared cat, so no tail up for now, its black and white with two brownish spots either side of the tail/hips, has a distinctive black spot (only one) on the face, has longish hair, but i wouldn't call it long hair, very bushy black tail.

I can not take pictures as it only comes around at night when i feed her/him and runs away at the sight of me. I believe it can be stray, but also maybe just lost and scared. The cat does eat healthy, but only at night as i mentioned.

I will continue to feed her/him and try to stick some deworming in the food for now if no one claims her/him, but maybe she/he will allow me in the future to catch him/her and take it to the vet. If anyone os missing a longish hair cat that fits the description please let me know.

Many thanks

Maybe just feed him same time each eve and hopefully he will begin to trust you enough to get him to vets to get scanned. He may not be lost and I wouldn't advice giving any worming stuff as he may be owned and already wormed. Can you Try to get photo even in dark as most phone cameras and cameras have a flash? Also if you post roughly where the cat is, not exact location just incase he lives local.

Hi Delaine, i meant deworming if it turns up its a stray cat. The cat comes in the evening at 7 as soon as it gets dark and eats its food like a clock work, but if i open the door it runs away. Pictures i cant take from the inside with my phone as i can just about take pictures in low light with it, let alone complete dark through a window, i tried.

The cat is coming across the road from East Dulwich train station.

Thanks

The cat came inside yesterday for the first time and had its food. I managed to take one photo and although its not the best at least its something. I'll try again next time and hope to get a better one. I've been talking to him and he's not running when he sees me, but as soon as the food is gone so is he. Its a good progress i think. Next challenge is to get him to eat during the day so he can have at least two meals a day.

As before, if you know anyone that might be missing this cat please PM me. Thanks

Not the same cat i'm afraid. Having looked at this cat with the lights on it seems that the only black patch is on the head, then a white section and then it starts dark brown and ends light brown by the tail.

Last night after the cat came in i closed the door slowly and he panicked for a few seconds and then finished he's meal. After that i gave him a few treats from the hand and it striked me that the cat couldn't find the treats in my palm although he could smell them, as if he was never fed from the hand. He then head butted my hand until i put the treats on the floor and eat them. I took this opportunity to stroke his head and he loved it. He then rolled over and grabbed my hand with his paws and gave me a nice loving bite. He then found a place near me and went to sleep for and hour and then went scratching at the door to let him out, which i did, but he didn't run this time, just strolled out.

Well to me this doesn't look like a feral cat, rather a stray that has somehow been mistreated at some point. For now i keep looking at other sites for lost cats at the same time i look for my missing cat, but after hundreds of pictures of black and white cats no luck.

Labour will probably compromise on agricultural land inheritance by raising the cap so it generally catches the Clarksons of the world who are not bothered about profits from land beyond, in his case, income from a highly successful TV series and the great publicity for the farm shop and pub
    • Were things much simpler in the 80/90s? I remember both my girls belonging to a 6th Form Consortium which covered Sydenham Girls, Forest Hill Boys and Sedgehill off Bromley Road. A level classes were spread across the 3 schools - i remember Forest Hill boys coming to Sydenham Girls for one subject (think it was sociology or psychology ) A mini bus was provided to transport pupils to different sites, But I guess with less schools being 'managed' by the local authority, providers such as Harris etc have different priorities.
