titch juicy
What's the attraction? Why is it SO popular? I watched a couple of episodes last year and it was excruciating. As far as I can see it's a load of obnoxious gits pandering to an obnoxious git. Jeremy
I think you've answered your own question. It's only fun if you enjoy painfully farcical comedy. Why anyone would want to be the "apprentice" of someone responsible for launching so many complete, utter turkeys is beyond me. Totally losing his share of the PC market within just a couple of years... then a diabolical games console, a disastrous PDA, the ridiculous emailer phone, the bizarre anti-wrinkle device. The list goes on.And let's not forget the whole Spurs episode.. TheCat
Each year the fascination is whether they can find candidates with an unprecedented level of 'twatness'.Indications are good in that regard this year. It's not a business show, it's 'made in Chelsea' with business-like tasks. As long as you accept that for what it is, it's good car crash comedy. FriendsOfTheTerrapin
Complete and utter twatfuckery. I love it... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126291-the-apprentice/#findComment-1057108 Share on other sites
Robert Poste's Child
How can you bear it? There's always at least one who would clearly offer sexual favours in return for any kind of preferment plus several who suffer from the all-American 'if I just believe in myself and want it enough' delusion. KidKruger
The only candidate of any merit I've ever seen was early on in perhaps first/second episode. It was the dark guy who had been / was a London Undergorund manager. I think he had a girlfriend and very young child and just wanted to get on and use his abilities. Polite, well-mannered, humble, but also clever, patient, saw every train-wreck coming. So far ahead of his loud-mouthed supertwat competitors with their tailored suits and unrealistic boasts.I think he won, not sure, but it must be more than accident that all the other candidates (and most since) are utter cockwombles. It's a tired recipe now this programme. Overstayed it's welcome by several years. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126291-the-apprentice/#findComment-1057115 Share on other sites
Earl Aelfheah
Unfortunately I see more and more 'youngsters' entering the workplace who think this is how you have to behave to succeed. Blah Blah
Is it just me, or are this years participants more inept than ever? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126291-the-apprentice/#findComment-1057228 Share on other sites

Coupled with the "Simon Cowell Effect" of behaving and talking to others, I'm sure it makes us old'uns wonder where it will all end!!!!!!!!! Pugwash
I watch it as I like to see those who have no common sense. They are too far up their own a**e to understand how pathetic they come across. Thank god my kids feel job satisfaction is far more important than making loads of money Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126291-the-apprentice/#findComment-1057310 Share on other sites

They've made some minor changes over the years but not enough to keep it fresh. And this year's participants are even more awful than usual.I expect I'll still watch it though .... Otta
I used to enjoy the Apprentice in a "they can't seriously think this is going to work can they?" kind of way. But I just can't be bothered anymore. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/126291-the-apprentice/#findComment-1057973 Share on other sites
