Easy-paced Saturday morning ride from Canada Water Library, opposite Canada Water Station, SE16 7AR. Departing 10am and back at 12 noon.

We done this one before but it's slightly changed because Tower Bridge is closed to people on wheels. Led by David it will go east to Greenwich along the river and then back -- mostly along Quietway 1. The Southwark sections of this quietway are very nice and have attracted a lot of cyclists so this will be an opportunity to see if the route further east is as good.

Tower Bridge is closed to cars and cyclists at least until the end of December. Pedestrians can walk across and cyclists can turn themselves back into pedestrians at any time by getting off and pushing so it's still possible to get across. However, for the purposes of this ride we are not going to do that and will just go further east.

If the closure of Tower Bridge is bothering you then there is more info here: http://southwarkcyclists.org.uk

TfL has signposted diversions for motors and bikes. Lots of congestion. For other ways around the area on a bike pm me
