Bob Buzzard
I want to get some blue corduroy jeans but my wife says they're not very cool - I disagree as I think they're quite hip, so I might get them still anyway. What would others do? I generally like to be on trend. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125986-is-it-ok-to-wear-cordrouy-jeans/ Share on other sites
TheArtfulDogger
I think just by needing to ask the question, it shows how uncool they are unless they are farmer Giles style dungarees Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125986-is-it-ok-to-wear-cordrouy-jeans/#findComment-1055800 Share on other sites

peckham_ryu
This season is all about old skool, hard-wearing denim. Out with the stretch Lycra mix, in with the chafed thighs. Take your wife down Memory Lane by making it double denim, with authentic vintage touches such as Converse hi-tops and Sony foamy headphones secured by an uncomfortable thin strip of steel. Cords are already back in the Geography Teacher style camp I'm afraid. Only wear them if you really can't afford a vasectomy. Hope that helps. maxxi
I just bought a corduroy shirt (light not jumbo) from a 'vintage' gaff for under ?20 - Brown no less! It is loose, comfy, warm and definitely cool. Bob Buzzard
Sorry - just realised they are actually needlecord not cordrouy - that's a bit different. So are navy blue needlecord jeans ok or not? Seabag
Needle cord has always been fine Bob, what's up with ya!Next you'll be questioning "Earl Grey tea, is that ok still?"Ps. DO was the trousers/jeans inside out, as nothing worse than that marbled effect. miga
Cords are classics, just like Cons, blue jeans or cotton t shirts. That's why you could always get all these items from any high street chain. All these items have versions at all price points. JohnL
You won't be able to get classic fit mind, slim fit only these days (or some call it tailored fit) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125986-is-it-ok-to-wear-cordrouy-jeans/#findComment-1055952 Share on other sites
Earl Aelfheah
High waisted, regular/relaxed cut are 'the fashion' I believe (not that I would really know, but seems to be what the 'kids' are wearing). Skinny fit more for the late 30's/early 40s brigade (so perhaps a bit more ED).
