PeckhamRose
We live on Peckham Rye SE15 with a fab view of London. We woke this morning to this horror in front of our precious view of Tower Bridge. This Will Not Do! Etc etc etc..... KidKruger
I see a time lapse photo opportunity there PR. You could name it "eradication of bridge view in 90 secs". rendelharris
Wow - from where in Peckham Rye do you have that view? Jealous, with or without ugly cranes! uncleglen
Tower bridge is closed for 3 months for repairs (see TFL website) so maybe it is something to do with that? Be grateful it does not appear to be a permanent construction Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125875-we-were-not-consulted-note-this-is-not-that-serious/#findComment-1055580 Share on other sites

PeckhamRose
I shall. I think it is at the far end of Nunhead. There are lots of new buildings by the Nun's Head going up but not sure they require that length of crane. Yes, I shall get on me bike and explore. It's a lovely GREEN crane so should not be hard to miss. I live in a 4 storey block at the hill end of the park and have lived here 33 years. When I moved in there was just the Nat West, BT Tower and Guys Hospital pretty much! Holy tower cranes look at that! Can you see the man half way along? Quick someone. Photoshop it into a Bird! Aristide
I'd be more upset at that ugly tree obscuring the view of all those lovely buildings Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125875-we-were-not-consulted-note-this-is-not-that-serious/#findComment-1055609 Share on other sites

Bob Buzzard
Cranes do not require planning permission as they are temporary structures typically erected for 28 days or less - hence the lack of consultation Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/125875-we-were-not-consulted-note-this-is-not-that-serious/#findComment-1055803 Share on other sites
Blah Blah
That crane is to the left of Nunhead green, next to the new community centre. Saw the bits arriving for it as I left my house nearby this morning.
