SeanMacGabhann
Strada is more likely and a better option. But I have a special place in hell reserved for Prezzo. RankBad enough that the former Indian opposite Half Moon in Herne Hill is going to be a Pizza Express (decimating the far superior pizza business in the Half Moon in one go)But people will flock. dv1
OK, if you look on the Southwark website long enough, you can see that a the planning application is for a Rocca Italian restuarant - just we we don't need or want. www.roccarestaurants.comShould have been a Wagamama Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12538-le-piaf-in-dulwich-village/page/4/#findComment-354188 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
Carluccios would have been better but probably too small. Bugger! Another crappy chain then. Oh well. It's what we've come to expect in Dulwich Village. Applespider
Doesn't look too bad from that link... can we really call it a crappy chain if they've only got one other branch in London that seems to have OK online reviews...Wagas isn't what it used to be - they used to be relatively cheap and cheerful so you didn't mind stuff showing up at odd times etc. They really jacked their prices up a couple of years back (when they started to expand) but the service/food hasn't improved with it. I go to Busaba Eathai now when I want something fast but tasty. Carluccios went downhill too after Antonio sold out. Used to love their penne giardinera - still love the parmesan/spinach balls - but their pasta tends to be overcooked and flabby these days. The tarfufi from the deli are still good though. Hmmm.... or perhaps I'm just overly fussy :-$ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12538-le-piaf-in-dulwich-village/page/4/#findComment-354210 Share on other sites
sofaRunner
oh that looks alright! it is a chain but only insofar as there is one other branch..... not a whole chain, more of a second link. I think we could have done a lot worse with pizza hut/wagas/strada or, well.... Piaf! Not entirely sure that this is the best advert for a restaurant... If it has to be home-made, then shouldn't we be eating in our own kitchens ;-)But, I'm game to try it out - perhaps we should offer the EDF's services as a practice group for a soft launch.... or should that be a soft lunch Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12538-le-piaf-in-dulwich-village/page/4/#findComment-354535 Share on other sites
