Putting in a Fireplace

HI

Can anyone recommend a builder to put in a fireplace for us in a Victorian house.

The Chimney breast has been blocked up/plaster boarded over so Id imagine the wall will need re-plastering etc.

We don't intend to light a fire, just for character and visual so think a builder can do this.

Let me know if you have any recommendations.

thank you, ill ask them.

I was hoping to pick up an original fireplace from ebay. We had a builder install one for us (put that was part of an entire house renovation) - this is only a one off job so looking for recommendations of smaller job builders.

Thanks

    • Apart from being yet another eyesore in our lovely park the track is going to be 5 metres wide, that’s wider than my living room! By the time this is installed it will be too late for people to object. This must be rethought, even more of our park is being given over to GALA. The council didn’t factor in HGV access when they planned the flood alleviation works and now they expect park goers to suffer further. Complaints might help, worth a try but needs to be before the consultation ends on Feb 10th
    • It is absolutely real, I walked past the site, complete with car and trashed wall, at about 2pm this afternoon.

    • Sue - I promise you that was no fake photo, not sure that I'm even capable to that.  I took the picture about 12:15 today.
