Teaching toddlers to share

Hello!

Does anyone have any brilliant, novel or just really successful ways you've helped your toddler to learn about sharing?

Searching for a couple of lovely mums to share an anecdote and have a teeny pic in Mother & Baby mag.... Struggling!!

Tough one that. I found it easier to always show my baby son how to share and he now does it whenever asked.

Maybe start by showing them how you share with F&F and get them to copy, make a game of it.

Counting games. They agree on a number or each pick one for their turn, up to 20(they rarely choose 20 ? it appears to be random). We then count to that number altogether and then the other child gets a turn with whatever they both wanted. After awhile the counting seems to become more fun than the disputed object/activity.

Counting (mostly) works more effectively for us too, more turn taking than actual sharing occurs with our younger one
