Childminder costs.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much a childminder for two children (under 3) for three days a week would cost?

About ?40/45 a day per child for a full 9-5 day. Although some may offer you a slight discount for a 2nd child

I think this is on the very reasonable side - most childminders I know of are around the ?50/?55 for a full day (8 till 6) - not necessarily a cheaper option compared to nursery.....

I pay mine ?40 for 9-4, so I would agree that ?55 ish for an 8-6 day sounds about right.

It's definitely not always a cheaper option than a nursery but easier to get a place, more flexible and more 1-1 care

I agree prd, particularly when the little ones are very little.
