"Eyes" you say....?

* imagines future "What BIG.....you have " thread *

W**F

This thread keeps reminding me of the Faces song You're So Rude.

My mum she likes you

She thinks you're swell

Got the makings of a dance hall girl

Your low cut frock and your bird's nest hair

Stiletto heels and the way that you swear

She said to take you back to see my folks again on Sunday

Why, it looks as though there's nobody in

They've all gone out to see my Auntie Renee

Don't you worry, you just come right in

I'm sure we'll pass the time til' they come home

Well, let me take your coat, kick off your shoes

Warm your toes, try the sofa

It's getting dark, we'll miss the late night bus, it's only eight?

Well, I'm not takin' any chances

What's that noise, why'd they come back so soon?

Straighten your dress you're really looking a mess

I'll wet my socks, pretend we just got caught in the rain

Oh, you're so rude.

There's a decent article in today's FT about women dressing for work. "Is low-cut too hot for the office" in the Dear Lucy column on page 12. I found it interesting. Unfortunately, I don't know my way around the FT Online or I would post a link. That's not helpful - sorry.

Katie,

I would continue to dress exactly as I pleased. Whatever you're wearing he's going to stare at you so you might as well get comfortable in your own skin and wear whatever you want (and is appropriate for your particular work environment). Don't get weired about it - there's no point.

Oh my dear Katie7283736. I sincerely hope this is not happening to you (though it looks as though it might be). "Staring" alone would make me feel awkward, but staring at my boobs would make me feel extremely uncomfortable to the extent that I would have to say something. Not an easy situation I would imagine - (men generally don't tend to look at me LOL!). However, as your boss is new, I would definitely call him aside and ask him if he is aware of his conduct. I would also alert him to the fact that his actions are making you feel uncomfortable (I am presuming you are not happy about the gawping). I think that the fact that he is new gives you a slight advantage - so nip it in the bud now.

Good luck. xx
