MarianaTrench
I went with vagina which my daughter. The other day she asked to see my 'giant', it took me a while to figure out what she meant, but yes it seems we have a new nickname for the good old vagina. Sally81
We also used Tuppence when I was a kid and also Mary! Not sure what I will call it when my 14 month old starts requiring a name for hers! This is a really common topic of convo - no reason at all not to ask about it here! Just yesterday I was laughing with my sis as she calls her son's his ding-a-ling!! Billie72
My Mum is a Child Protection Social Worker and her advice is to use the 'proper' names because it means that if there is any abuse, the child uses the unambiguous term and there can never be any misunderstanding. Here is an article about it. It's all about safeguarding children.http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/04/the-case-for-teaching-kids-vagina-penis-and-vulva/274969/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/124127-calling-advice-from-all-mumswhat-name-do-you-give-to-a-little-girls-private-part/page/2/#findComment-1054934 Share on other sites
