spymum
Very fancy website - I could have ended up staring at those dots for hours! All it needed was a whale song soundtrack and a bit of Enya!!It doesn't seem as if it is going to be the 'regular' type of gym, does it? And in a way that is good 'cos it leaves me hope that Fusion will one day (we can but dream) be refurbed and made into a nicer space with a much nicer pool. And the Fusion gym is busy at non-peak times, (so it must be a nightmare at peak times, trying to get on the machines and having time limits on use, which is annoying). In the meanwhile it's off to Streatham I schlep. Or maybe I should just get used to running in the cold, cold rain! Certainly cheaper, and with my own soundtrack! Guest
The pool at the Fusion Dulwich gym is so bad, I've resorted to doing my lengths in Tooting Bec duckpond now. And yeah, the Elephant Fusion is as shabby as can be. Quaywe
OK, I can CONFIRM that 116 Lordship Lane is to be the site for the new gym/physio. They have not yet started building but it will be the ground floor (only) of 116. They will be shutting down their Camberwell branch to move here. The lovely owner Elizabeth (who I met whilst standing in the queue at Moxons) also mentioned that she would love some of us to leave some feedback as to what we would like to see from a local gym to fit our busy lifestyles. Bear in mind that this is a small site. RegardsEDKiwiPS - YIPPEE, the value of my nearby flat just went up! Muttley
Dear Elizabeth, Mrs Muttley says she would like swiss ball classes where the class size is kept quite small (i.e. no more than 8 people) so you can get more personal attention. Lee Hanby
Would anyone have a contact number or email for Elizabeth regarding the new gym opening up on Lordship Lane? I'd just like to get in contact with her. You can email me privately if thats best. Thanks. Guest
I'm one of 3 owners of es physical health. We are a family owned and managed business and have been going for 30 years. Elizabeth Sharp is the Clinical Director, I am the Managing Director and Alexei Sharp is our Financial Director. 2 brothers and a mother. We currently have 2 sites - one in Camberwell and one in central London. I am very happy for you to email me with suggestions for what you would like to see in the new health and fitness centre. You can also keep an eye on our website (www.esphysicalhealth.com) where a model of the interior will be posted in time. 116 Lordship Lane will have 5 treatment rooms offeirng physiotherapy, massage, dietetics, acupuncture, podiatry and related therapies, 3 exercise spaces divided into a pilates studio for equipment pilates, a matwork studio for yoga, tai chi, swiss ball and healthy back classes (amongst many others) and a small gym with treadmills and resistance equipment. All our classess will be done in small groups with the emphasis on supervision and quality (So right up Mrs Mutley's street). Our philosophy is to combine quality therapy with quality exercise provision under one roof. There will be a form of membership, although this will be restricted to ensure that each individual has a quality of experience and supervision as standard. We will never charge a sign on fee and membership will start at about ?45 per month. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Best wishes, Max.
