Does anyone know if it is on? or whether it will be closing early?

I assume so. They are going to do special things on Fridays, with 50p entry charge, such as bouncy castle etc. I think that starts next week. Also will be open 10-12 on mon, wed and fri over the hols.

Are those opening hours in addition to, or instead of, the usual 1-3.30pm times, do you know?

Yes, in addition. Inside will close 12-1 but you can stay in the outside bit till the afternoon session starts, I think.
