Mrs Slocum, and what's more every time she delivered her line it was with different coloured hair. Class.

My favourites, though not necessarily word perfect are certainly in the spirit of Mrs S's dialogue,

"No, I'm sorry Captain Peacock, I can't stay late for a meeting, if I'm not 'ome by six o'clock sharp my pussy goes mad"

"Eeh, I 'ope it doesn't rain again today, there's something wrong my cat flap, when I got 'ome last night my pussy was wringing wet"

Aah, the 70's, a more innocent and at the same time a more filthy time.

"And now this is me"

Mike Yarwood.

Cue a nation changing channel (to the other one), going to the pub, making a 'cuppa', making do and mending or glaring at the screen and shaking its head because Yarwood is murdering Burt Bacharach instead of doing an impression of Vic Feather like he's bloody well supposed to.

Cue 20% of the nation tutting loudly.

    • Hi, I'm after some free moving boxes in good used/reusable condition. Large, Medium and small size and any packing spare materials you might want to pass on. Reduce, reuse, recycle. I'm not moving home for a few months, so if something comes up later on, please do DM me. I will keep this post open/active until found. Many thanks
    • Anyone know why temporary lights were put in on East Dulwich Grove on Sunday but as of 8am this morning no works are evident ? I imagine works are planned but have been delayed but the team putting in the lights have gone ahead anyway. 🙄 Just as well Alleyns and JAGS have finished...
    • A bit like Levi Bellfield. It's not a good look.
    • The reference to helicopters (plural) is exceptional.  I don't think I've seen any instance, here or in any TV police-at-work series, where more than one at  a time has been said to be involved.  A google search found, in the first three pages, just two cases, since 2010, where two helicopters were reported.  In both instances these involved police forces in two adjoining county areas, where perps in cars were being sought immediately after robberies.
