Keef
I remember a school mate saying "Oh my days" to a teacher when told off... The teacher replied "Your days are numbered boy!". mockney piers
So let me get this straight, we're being close minded because we don't believe some japanese bloke who, while up a mountain, discovered a jedi-like way of focussing the universe's 'energies' is really on to anything. But you're happy to dismiss christianity out of hand, one of the three pillars of Western European civilisation?!?!*Or is it do-gooders (people who try to make other people happy) that you have an issue with?*for the record, so am I. MadWorld74
No problem with Christianity or any other religion. I just don't want it thrust down my neck by some woman in the Sainsbury's car park who takes it upon herself whilst I'm waiting for the bus to come up to me and tell me Jesus is my friend and then tries to get me to come to church with her.....THAT I have a problem with.Oh and see the post on the Main Page of the Forum. We have another Reiki practitioner is our midst. She must read these threads, I think she'll be very interested. hoipolloi
Hurrah I am loving this threadI like "yampy" which I think is a Brummie/West Mids expression, it is a bit tricky to explain without using other rubbish words. Used most often in the phrase "I've gone a bit yampy" it kind of explains that spaced out, slightly hysterical feeling you get when you're really hung over and then you get a sudden burst of energy. There, now you know! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1235-what-is-your-favourite-expression/page/2/#findComment-32984 Share on other sites
