London Community Boxing, in the heart of Peckham, is looking for a friendly and welcoming volunteer receptionist / customer care personnel to cover our front desk during quiet periods of the working day.

The role will involve greeting clients, answering the phone, replying to emails and generally helping around the gym and with our charity. If you have a few hours to spare (12 noon to 4pm) Monday to Friday, it does not have to be everyday, we would love to hear from you.

In return we offer our volunteers a place to get fit, meet people and of course gain skills on front desk as no experience is needed, training will be given

  Apart from being yet another eyesore in our lovely park the track is going to be 5 metres wide, that’s wider than my living room! By the time this is installed it will be too late for people to object. This must be rethought, even more of our park is being given over to GALA. The council didn’t factor in HGV access when they planned the flood alleviation works and now they expect park goers to suffer further. Complaints might help, worth a try but needs to be before the consultation ends on Feb 10th

  It is absolutely real, I walked past the site, complete with car and trashed wall, at about 2pm this afternoon.
