Hello all.

When I say recently, we've actually been here since Febrary, but what with the moving and the baby and the new jobs, its been a bit hectic.

Anyway, we are a couple between the ages of 25 and 30 (inclusive...), both now working full time outside the home, and we have a daughter who's just turned 7 months old. Baby girl is looked after in our home by my cousin L ( :) )during the day. We live in the champion hill/dog kennel hill area.

We would like to meet other parents/families with similar age children. As we weren't here for pre/post natal classes and it apparently takes about ten years to get into nursery in ED, I'm not really sure how this happens! Does anyone want to go for coffee or something one weekend?

I think that L would also like to take little one to some activites during the week now she's getting old enough to appreciate it, so recommendations for playgroups or teagroups or whatever other baby/toddler activities are out there would be welcome.

Finally, anyone have a reliable and sensible teenage child that they would like to lend us so we can get to the cinema every now and again?

Looking forward to meeting (some of) you.

Hannah

Hi Hannah,

I have PM'ed you. In terms of classes / groups, there are loads in ED. We really enjoy Bumps and Babes on a Monday 10am-12pm at the Goose Green centre, Monkey Music (although that's just finished for the summer), and the free groups at the libraries (Rhyme Time on a Wednesday morning and Story Time on a Thursday at Dulwich library). Friends of mine also really recommend Baby Sensory.

Hope you're feeling more settled in your new home - we really love bringing up our baby here.

Perhaps they are right or perhaps it is in their interests to talk up the market?
