We are urgently seeking a lovely after school nanny for our 3 year old son to start in October.

Hours and role:

The role will involve collecting him from a local nursery in Dulwich (nearest train is North Dulwich /Herne Hill) by 5.15pm (the nursery is 2 minute walk from our home), preparing a simple snack for his tea, playing with him and caring for him until mum or dad get home.

Core hours are 5.15-7.15pm Monday ? Friday(10 hours a week) with the option of additional hours babysitting evenings and weekends if wanted.

The role would suit someone who lives in Dulwich, Herne Hill (or surrounding areas of SE London), potentially someone who is studying (18+), is on a Gap Year, has another job which can easily fit around this one or is retired. You MUST be able to commit ideally to a year or more in order to ensure continuity of care for our son.

You will be:-

- Exceptionally reliable, honest and trustworthy

- Friendly and outgoing

- Have basic cooking skills

- Flexible as mum and dad work in the city and may on occasion need to work late or attend work related evening functions at short notice

- Genuinely interested in being around young children (and have previous childcare /babysitting experience)

- Ideally be a native English speaker (good spoken and written English is essential for this role)

- Have UK residency and/or full working visa rights

- Have recent, checkable English speaking references and be CRB / DBS checked

- Have first aid experience

- Be a non smoker

Looking forward to hearing from you!

At the end of the month we will have an accompanying app that shows you how to use what they have safely a measure progress. I’ve seen the same people as before of all ages and abilities. Don’t write it off out of hand. It’s an amazing resource that many other boroughs would be proud to have
