Do the ingredients in fake tan stop it being fake tan then? Never knew that.

This forum has rules about posting for business, which are clearly set out at the top of the business section. Despite these rules being clearly stated, this poster tried multiple times to make posts that break the rules. Not surprised Admin deleted her posts, and given the fact that she tried to break the rules over and over again and then complained about the rules being applied not surprised that they got fed up with her.

ETA No I don't know the "administer" or even the administrator.

Rh I am no expert on make up or beauty products, but from starting with admins comments on spray tan to your fake tan comments, this product you have quoted looks more like a skin conditioner to me. And if it were "fake tan" is that a problem for you? Im intruiged, Is there a ban on certain products.

That's just a silly attempt to score points.

I agree with Admin on this one. This forum is a valuable source of business for sole traders and small businesses - there was a thread a while back about people a long way away using it like eBay - and it's unreasonable to expect to be able to exploit that completely on your own terms. I expect Admin has to have rules like that to protect locals from scams and rogue traders posting under multiple identities.

If you are going to keep having a go at me (and I really don't know why, as this is none of your business) please at least get your facts right.

I wasn't having any problems with Heals customer service.

I hadn't even contacted Heals customer service at that point, and now because of this - "misguided" is putting it politely - person's interference and frankly bizarre behaviour, I can't, because I have no idea what was said to Heals "on my behalf".

I was promised that the "proper" admin, who said he was on holiday at the time, would find out, and get back to me - if memory serves, the following day "at the latest."

That was the last I heard of it, and when I PMed to find out why, he did not even have the common courtesy to open and read the PM.

So yes, I'm assuming the "proper" admin hoped I would drop it at that stage - i.e. the stage when I could have done something about the fifty pounds I had wasted.

This was in relation to a very specific product, so the fact that my name wasn't mentioned by the "misguided" "temporary admin" is irrelevant, as customer services would know who it was as soon as I contacted them about the same product.

An apology was the very least I expected. What I wanted was to find out exactly what had been said "on my behalf", which I still don't know.

Its not about scoring points, the fact admin has made some sorta joke (assuming thats what it was)

It was in bad taste, especially considering what had went before regarding communication between admin and poster. Or am I missing the point and its just a Celt thing,

It's not about the products she sells though, is it - no one mentioned a ban, so no need to stir it up. Grounds for deleting were clearly stated by Admin. Seems fair enough to me and forumites would complain to Admin soon enough if they were harmed or ripped off by a bogus trader.

If you object to people commenting on your business, old fruit, I would suggest you don't put your business on a public forum, making a massive issue about it at the time and then reviving it months later as a stick to try and beat Admin with. If you choose to do so, you can't, in all conscience, complain about people giving their opinion, even if you don't like it. My opinion is that you've built a massive mountain out of a very insignificant molehill: someone from Admin, with clearly the best, if misguided, of intentions, thought they would try to help you out with an issue, it's hardly a big deal.

Don't know that I agree with you on that one, RH. You're right that you take a risk posting personal matters on a public forum but Admin definitely crossed a line that time - calling the business involved about the problem. I'm sure they were trying to help but still not OK and Sue deserves a written response and apology.

Indeed, and it costs nothing to accept an apology too, although someone has to be willing to accept the apology in the first place...

I posted asking for advice, as many people do on here. I would not call that "putting my business on a public forum."

I have now had a very nice PM from the forum Head Honcho and as far as I am concerned the matter is resolved.

It's a pity that it seems to have got lost in the PM ether before, but I'm grateful now to know what happened.

You seem to have been in a very aggressive mood on here lately, rendelharris. I (genuinely) hope there is nothing wrong.

The apology was a bit irrelevant. What I wanted was the text of the email sent to Heals so that I knew what had been said before I approached them myself.

I have now got that, for which I am grateful, as I said above.

However many months have passed now and frankly, with health and other very stressful problems at the moment, taking up a case of apparent misrepresentation (not by Heals) of a product being sold by them is not very high on my list of priorities :)

What you mean is, old comrade, that you and I have, unusually, disagreed over a couple of issues. Look at my post, I just politely suggested that in my opinion you were making a bit too much of an issue of things. That's not being aggressive, it's just disagreeing. I agree I am aggressive with the (thankfully thin on the ground) alt-right/neo-fascists who infest these parts, but then I think everyone should be. I am tickerty-boo thank you apart from, like you, a few cumbersome health issues.

Peace.

I've just looked at the thread.

I don't see any "foot stamping entitlement".

Just an attempt to get some information and frustration when it wasn't forthcoming.

I did.

    • Agree and that is due to the echo-chamber nature of social media algorithms. Previously racists and other idiots wouldn't read stuff in traditional media that echoed their warped mindset but now they feel empowered because they think everyone thinks this and can easily reach those that do share the same ideology. Cast your mind back to how Blackberry Messenger was blamed for its role in the London riots back in 2011. We now have that a thousand times worse.
