    • Chiming in to recommend @Gardenman / Oli Hawkins who runs Exterior Design Gardens. Oli and his team completely revamped our small back garden last Spring (February 2024) by sourcing laying new tiling to replace a concrete base. Besides doing a GREAT job, it was very reasonably priced (completed on budget) and his team was really friendly, respectful and approachable. I also was super appreciative of how responsive Oli was, it's refreshing to work with such a diligent communicator. Exterior Design Gardens T: 07549418219 T: 07759862191 Email: [email protected]
    • Guess there is nothing as queer as folks (or American voters)
    • Just moved into the area and thought id sign up to the forum to find local business to use, I would also like to recommend AFA waste, called them yesterday and they came today. Dean was great he showed me he's licence and was in and out as quick as I could say job done.
    • In a city where successive governments have allowed property prices to spiral out of control, this just seems like a really cynical move. Given that every other mid-terrace already has a full size dormer, I can't see what benefit there is to anyone to prevent further such development from happening. For many it will be the only way to increase space without moving out of the area. As families grow up and kids get bigger, more space is needed. What is the reason for doing this? It can't be aesthetics because then presumably they'd go to all the other properties and force them to reverse their developments. OK it seems like permitted development stands for houses. What on earth benefit is there to restrict the top floor in a house (i.e. a flat) from doing the same thing? Also what'll it do to property prices? Surely it could put a big value divide between neighbours houses? Really bizarre thinking
