Jah Lush
I don't know about a lynching but if one was to pop his/her head in we could point our metaphorical fingers at them and laugh like hyenas. Ladygooner
We hope to pull Sven down a peg or two tomorrow - unfortunately poor old Jens is out injured - lets hope Almunia has been practising catching and kicking the ball! SeanMacGabhann
Another "will we (Arsenal) ever score game" followed by an afternoon hoping Spurs win. Very odd.. But if we win game in hand we are joint top and we are winning games we would have lost or drawn last year, so... I'm relatively happy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/8/#findComment-35378 Share on other sites
Verona
Yes LG, that is great, but has Wenger ever bought a classy striker? Remember, Henry was bought as a winger. How about Berbatov?citizen Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/8/#findComment-35387 Share on other sites

SeanMacGabhann
I did wonder Citizen!Wenger bought Anelka as a striker didn't he? Apart from being the world's oldest child, he was pretty handyBut let's never ever mention Jeffers Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/8/#findComment-35392 Share on other sites
citizenED
OK, he bought them, but they weren't successful. He could have picked up Owen when he came back from Real. He could have tried for Bent this summer - Andy Johnson? Don't get me wrong - I worship Wenger, but there is just that tiny little piece of the footballing jigsaw that he seems to overlook, a sniffer to thunk the ball it the net. Keef
Lets not forget Jeffers ;-)I remember Wenger being very interested in Robbie Fowler when he was at his great peak. Keef
By the way, did anyone watch the Liverpool match (Anna)?I couldn't believe it earlier when I got home from Reading and read that Carragher ended up with a collapsed lung, and Hypia a broken nose!!! Bloody Roy Keane, he's always been a thugish twat, and now it seems his team are playing like he did! Annasfield
Hi Keef - yep saw the game. Hypia's broken nose didn't look pleasant, lots of claret. Can't remember what happened to Carra', think it was a knee in the ribs. At first it looked like he wasn't going to come off - can't believe he stayed on as long as he did.Not wanting to get complacent, but at least we go in tomorrow nights game with an away goal and being at home to Derby on Saturday should mean we won't miss Carra and Stevie too much. I hope I've not jinxxed us now.... Mind you, no locals boys playing is not so good!Assume you'll be watching the game tomorrow? Was supposed to go, but could only get one ticket and didn't fancy driving home on my own.Quite glad I've got Voronin in my FFL team >:D< Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/8/#findComment-35467 Share on other sites

Jah Lush
Ladygooner Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Jah - you were robbed!Indeed we were. But how often does a visiting side get a penalty at Old Trafford? About once in a blue moon I should think. Anyway, I thought we were by far the better side and at least deserved to get a point out of the game. Cracking goal by Nani though. mockney piers
That's because Yossi was a superstar. My Israeli colleague had dinner with him and said he's an polite, shy, unassuming lad too. Jah Lush
So, Mockney, worth every penny that Kieron Dyer? He's the equivalent of having a Rolls Royce that's permanently in the garage.
