Fifth round fixtures:

Bristol Rovers v Southampton

Cardiff City v Wolves

Sheffield United v Middlesbrough

Liverpool v Barnsley

Manchester United v Arsenal

Preston v Portsmouth

Coventry City v West Brom

Chelsea v Huddersfield Town

The ties are scheduled to take place on 16 and 17 February.

Home to Middlesbrough could be a lot worse for us - I am sure Middlesbrough will see this as a very tricky fixture >:D<

Now if only the other two Yorkshire sides can do the business at Liverpool & Chelsea that'll just leave Merde Utd out of the so-called "Big Four" to worry about....:))

I've already posted this in the Wanted bit of the forum, but thought I might as well put it here as well.

I have 4 tickets for the Arsenal game tomorrow night and unfortunately I can no longer make it. They are available for ?40 each - face value - for any Gooner (or even Geordie) who fancies it. Drop me a PM if you are interested...

Life's not fair ;-)

BTW - Good to meet you on Friday :))

Pleased with our draw against Barnsley. Chelsea are lucky buggers, hopefully if we meet them in the final we can get the champions league theme tune to play before the match, and we should beat them! >:D<

I am not saying this to wind anyone up, but I have to say I see Man U winning against Arsenal at Old Trafford... Can't say as I particularly care either way, but guess I'd just about lean towards Arsenal, if nothing else than their players (if not the manager) seem less cocky than Ronaldo and Rooney!

Atila, I think it has been denied that Arsenal are the team enquiring about Woodgate. To be fair, he's stayed fitter this last couple of seasons, and he is a good player. If he hadn't been so unlucky with injuries, I think he would have earned top spot above Terry and Ferdinand in an England shirt.

Our record is good in the FA cup at Old Stratford so I'm optimistic. We would have to have played them at some point so there you go. I'm not sure it will be a great game to watch, but I predict it will be feisty as there is no love lost between us and the mob from Salford, or is it Stockport. Whatever, I know they are not based in Manc Chester, it's the blue half that are actually in Manc Chester.

It's Salford. I like the fact that they can't actually show the crest of Manchester as part of their badge because they are outside city limits. Ha ha!

Whenever I used to visit friends in Manchester, you'd see loads of locals wearing sky blue, and the Man U shop was full of asian tourists.

Barton is a hooligan on and off the pitch.

Thought Spurs could have done a little better yesterday. Had Jenas put away the two very good chances that came his way things might have been different. I can't complain about the penalty though.

We have them again back at the Lane on Saturday. Hopefully we'll have Ledley King back and we may even beat them this time.

Also, Atila, how you can call Ronaldo a one-trick pony is beyond me. I know you hate Man Utd but give the guy a break. He's a magnificnet player and a joy to watch. You'd love a player like that your side surely?

He may be a good player, but how can you condone the actions of a man who gets a team mate sent off and your club then forgives for you it. Maybe it says more about Man ure than Ronaldo but I'm inclined to think it speaks volumes about him and his wretched club.
My last post was regarding Ronaldo... Say the thing about Wise but didn't realise it was a done deal. Hope Leeds get someone decent soon, they have done so well coming back from minus 15 points! Punishing a club like that is sick, they're financially fucked so you make life even harder for them, nice :-S

Keef, you are now my favourite forumite. Not many people have sympathy for West Yorkshire's number 1 club! ;-)

Considering we lost points at the end of the previous season as well it seemed a little unfair. Let's hope Ken 'Papa Smurf Bates doesn't promote Bassett to manager. His idea of football is a game of head tennis and "who can kick it the farthest" competitions.

Went to Dulwich Hamlet on the weekend and wanted to big-up how helpful they were. There were 12 of us and we played a game of 6-a-side on their pitches behind the ground then into watch the match after. Total cost per person was ?6 for both events. (they did us a deal) excellent day and good to see the Hamlet come from 1-0 down to win.

Oh come on that is a bit ripe! Leeds carefully timed their bankruptcy at the end of last season in order to negative the impact of the points deduction. In a way they are fortunate to have started with -15 and not -25....
