The referee spoilt the game for Liverpool. Three very poor penalty decisions. Reading's was a free-kick and Torres was twice denied definite penalty decisions. Could have been a very different game if they were given but that's the way it goes sometimes. Having said that I don't think Liverpool played well enough and yes Rafa's eyes were on Tuesday after an hour of play.

Obviously I'd chose to win Tuesday. However, and I really mean this, I wold choose to win the League above the Champions League. Champs League is great, and I would love to win it again, but I am desperate to see Liverpool win a League title!

Bloody stupid hearing people calling for Raf's head, he's done a lot for the club and is a great manager. Sometimes though he needs to learn not to try and fix things that are not broken!

I agree and would rather win the Prem, but having lost only one game in the league this season - we ain't doing too bad! Not sure why Rafa chose the set up that he did today, but I hope he gets it sorted for next week. (and the week after - particularly as I'm going to both the Chelsea and the Pompey games)

I don't hold out much hope of this happening, but an Arsenal, Chelsea draw and a Liverpool win over Man U next week wold be an absolute result!

Arsenal are indeed a different team from last year, and deservedly at the top, but I shall cheer every point they drop, as I would Chelsea and Man U.

If the two games between the big four finish as draws (as it not unlikely) then there's a chance both Portsmouth & Man City will move into the top 4. As Liverpool - or Benitez anyway - continue to show such disdain for the Premier League there'd be a certain poetic justice if they finish 5th or even 6th this season :))

I still hope they beat Marseilles though

The Arse were awful and deservedly lost, Rafa has lost the plot, taking off his 3 best players( well done Reading, great goal by a former Gooner), and let's hope Marseille end Pools Euro aspirations. Why should I cheer the Pool, their fans want us to lose, and why not, so why shouldn't we wish the same on them? It's only fair.
To be fair, I've always cheered Arsenal on in Europe, and even said a few posts ago that I would cheer them against any other British team in Europe other than Liverpool. At the end of the day though, whether you or I cheer Liverpool tomorrow or not will not make even the slightest bit of difference to the game, so knock yourself out.

The reason I don't cheer on Arsenal is because of the way some of their fans behave..... Until I lived in North London I was more than happy to see Arsenal do well and would cheer them on (unless their result affected us in anyway).

It's comments like the ones above that mean I just don't bother any more. ;-)

In response to Sean's "Where's everyone watching the games?" I, will be more than likely hiding behind my sofa at home for the Liverpool game, unless anyone else has any better ideas?!

Gareth Bale out for three months!!! Bollocks!!! He's been one of our best players this season. It's hard to believe that he's only 18. But, as I keep saying, we need our Ledley back.

???? come on then who do you support. Tillie Trotter and Peckhamgatecrasher are Millwall and no one likes them but they don't care.

    • A quick Google search found this service in Devon including several large print books and a home delivery service for those that can't get to a library.  Might be worth a look if you haven't already considered this.  Good luck.   https://discover.librariesunlimited.org.uk/our-services

    • Bit over-stated that.  Fully-paved front drives cause same/worse issues.  The hermetically-sealed, boundary-to-boundary hard surfaces you see all over Dulwich prevent natural rainwater from continuing to nourish the dirt/clay under the house.  Houses around ED have very very shallow foundations which is the root cause, frankly.  I just spent a year renovating a house down to the foundations and they barely exist and the brickwork is easily disturbed by any ground movement. Last time I checked, humans can't breathe their foundations can they?  But most humans require oxygen...  This foundations trope is the go-to bogey man.  Defo not having a go at you Dave, I'm sure you'd prefer more trees to fewer trees, but short-term vs long term decisions must be made.  Choices: Do we want a fully-paved, grey, barren landscape or greenery with all the health & beauty benefits?
