I doubt it. He wants to stay and manage in England and if Fulham continue their poor start to the season it's quite probable that he could be in line to replace Lawrie Sanchez. (You heard it here first).

I'm going to White Hart Lane tomorrow night for the Carling Cup match against the might of Blackpool. I should think Spurs will win that one. I think we've been humiliated enough for one season but then I blame the board of directors for that. C**ts!

Best of luck to Jaunde Ramos although he will have to get used to the same transfer policy that so frustrated Martin Jol. The King is dead. Long live the King. Come on you Spurs!

I think the case for Alan Smith is that Leeds were in desperate need of cash by that stage. Smith knew this and agreed to be sold, Man Utd offered a reasonable sum and we had to take it. I don't think Smudger betrayed us (although kissing the ManU badge was a bit much) but didn't really have much choice. Kewell on the other hand...

As for Wise and Poyet - They didn't exactly set the world on fire last season but there was a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes that I don't think anyone would believe. When your own captain gives the opposition your tactics you're in trouble. We were the target of much speculation of takeovers and I think a new owner would have got rid of Wise. As it is he's stayed and now looks to be doing a good job so all credit to him. I think Poyet will be a big loss and needs replacing pronto with someone decent, Ray Wilkins has been talked up but personally I'm not keen.

One day we'll be back up there....MOT

Just thank your lucky stars you've not had a mega ego like Anelka in your side!!! OH...... sorry you have!!!

Fair play, but we should have learnt our lesson after the Reyes episode. Didn't he moan about the weather, missed his mums cooking, wanted to play for Real (look were that got him, the ungrateful git!!)

Well you already mentioned Anelka.

I still rate Kewell, but the guy can't stay fit, so good or not, he's useless. Maybe he can get fit and give us one really good season... Maybe not.

Cisse.

Robbie Fowler's return quite literally was the second coming of christ if you listen to Liverpol supporters. Unfortunately the injuries and the years meant it couldn't be the dream we all hoped for. Was good to see him in red again though, and get a proper goodbye! Still think he has something to offer at Cardiff.

I wonder is Charlton fans might say Danny Murphy... He had them top of the league, everyone was talking about an England recall, it didn't happen then it all went completely pete tong! Still think he would have been better off staying there than going to sit on Spurs' bench.

I remember seeing him play and he did look a bit useful, but regretabbly that lasted about as long as a soap bubble!! Come on Jah, you've had a few stinkers play for your lot. Name & shame them.

Are you talking about his move to spurs or fulham >:D<

I saw Murphy a couple of times at Charlton, and he looked like he thought he was too big for the club "I used to play for liverpool you know" attitude was reflected in a very poor work rate.

I was under the impression he eventually pulled his socks up a bit though.

Good old 'arry. Everyone forgets some of the duds he's bought over the years!!

Indeed, after his departure someone did a run down of money in, money out and wages and worked out that for all his much reknowned shrewd wheeler-dealing, he'd actually lost the club a fortune and all his quality signings had a catalogue of horrors to his name too.

Still, we had some great times as well as terrible times under him and he's definitely a character.

    • Ask the surgeries.  Most dentists  I have been to were child friendly.  The only one was the school dentist who'd come in a caravan and do lots of unnecessary work, which I now suffer from.
    • Round-robin letter received this week regarding this. Main points are that the number of new homes is being reduced from 877 to 867. OK, not much change there, but.... "A reduction in the number of affordable homes from 270 (35% by habitable room) to 77 (12% by habitable room)" That's a 72% reduction in the number of affordable homes. I don't know a lot about this kind of thing, but it seems that just 77 affordable homes in a development of 867 is a massive pee-take in an area where a 1-bed flat is £400K+ if it isn't "affordable." If you're interested, the application can be viewed at https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/ ref 24/AP/2074 and there's a lot of objections to the reduction in affordable homes. The drop-in sessions are Weds 26th Feb (Peckham Library) and Mon 3rd March (All Saints Church) at 3pm. Full details attached. 24_AP_2074-FILE_COPY_-_NEIGHBOUR_NOTIFICATION_LIST-4005193.pdf
    • I noticed 4 gone in a short stretch of Bellenden Road alone this weekend. I had no idea it was to do with the tech and thought that it was a retro Beastie Boys thing. Showing my age. Sorry I can only find a Facebook link if you are too young to remember this: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=578367166664170 Totally agree that it's a bad design flaw, and I bet the actual cost of the parts to VW is minimal so they could easily cough up some of the replacement costs. It's depressing that someone can go along a street popping these things off cars with very little worry about being prosecuted.
