Looks like zamora (and Paintsil) are off to Fulham. I for one will miss Bobby, I know he didn't get much action last season, but he wore his heart on his sleeve, scored some crucial goals (not many yeah, but some) and didn't succumb to the egomania some of the others did when we experienced some modest success.

3 million for the pair, bargain.

Good luck chaps

Doubt it macroban, there have been things like that written before. The fact is, the transfer fees were dropping, and then a very rich russian bought chelsea, and it went mental again, then a lot of americans started buying clubs and so on... I wish it would sort itself out, but we're going to give Villa ?18m for Gareth Barry, so obviously the madness is still happening.

(I want us to buy Barry by the way, but the price is steep!)

Was also surprised that Hleb went for as little as he did.

I blinkin' well did! Just not when I booked the Zutons tickets 3 months ago. I also wasn't aware that they'd be supporting Macca. Must find my crystal ball. ;-)

And besides, I was sneakily monitoring the game from my Blackberry. Voronin our pony-tailed warrior scored you know!!

    • As posted elsewhere Jojm is a superb plasterer, highly experienced and very good. And will either just get on with the job or, if you wish, have a good chat with you - he's a Dubliner so very friendly! I have either used him directly (once, for a biggish job, a couple of rooms, insulated plaster boards and finishing) and twice for neighbouring landlord where I arranged and saw his work completed expertly and efficiently. Recommended. He loves dogs too. If relevant...

    • How about we go straight to the source then if you think it's questionable: Here's Unite Group's annual report: https://www.unitegroup.com/annual-report-and-accounts-2024 Download the PDF and you'll find the 97.5% occupancy rate. You know a lot of these news sources exist because digging through annual reports is laborious and not immediately accessible to the masses. They're reporting on what Unite Group, a public company, is reporting. It's making something more digestible. They're not just making up numbers. They'd end up without much business if they were. PBSA is a big industry. Here's another take (though a year older) from Cushman and Wakefield: https://www.cushmanwakefield.com/en/united-kingdom/insights/uk-student-accommodation-report  Like CBRE, they're also reporting supply shortages. Again, to be occupied by students.
