You've gone back to October to dig up some of my OLD postings. Like I said todays postings ar far from rude. As for your history, again you have have grasped the wrong end of the stick, unless of course your club has changed its name to SPURS, which is the club I was digging at. Where's that famous scouse sense of humour?

From October 2007. Very recent. ;-)

Can an Arsenal fan side (argumentally at least) with the scousers on here

Annasfield - what can I say.. .I know how you feel. But just think how much duller the place would be without you. Don't let it get you down

After the Liverpool v Arsenal game I thought Keef and Annasfield were the model of good behaviour. they COULD have enjoyed a right old dig at us defeated gooners but had a bit more tact than this (very recent!) quote from Atila

Anyway Liverpool are from from out of it - remember it was 1-1 in teh Arsenal game but one goal from Arsenal and it suddenly looked very dodgy for Liverpool - I predict the same against Chelsea next week.

There has not been any love from you Atila and that was my point. Keef and I could have come on here the day that Liverpool knocked Arsenal out of the CL, but we chose not to out of respect. It's all well and good being smug about winning, but invariably it will bite you on the arse.

I didn't have to trawl through posts to find those either - some things are just memorable.

No need to apologise Lozzy - everyone has an opinion, it's just the way that it's expressed that bothers me.

I know what you mean and for my penny's worth I totally agree with you. I'm often put off from posting here because it feels like walking into a full on fracas on the terraces. I like a bit of banter but I prefer not to get dragged into pointless abusive arguments over ones team when in fact we all enjoy the same game from a different perspective. I wouldn't accept somebody having a personal go at me because of my race so nor would I accept it just because I'm a 'Chavski' supporter!

Anyway, for the record, I think Man U will indeed go through. Even if they lose tonight, I feel sure they will get at least one away goal, and finish it off at home. Then we will have an all English final, which is a good thing. Obviously I shall be hoping Liverpool are part of that final... Should they not be, then I won't really care who wins, I shall just hope to enjoy the match and support the team that seem to be struggling more (I tend to do that if not watching The Pool, guess it comes from watching Southampton games with Fear N' Boozin >:D< ). That said, I might lean towards Chelsea, because I feel rather sorry for Avram Grant, and I do quite like the fact that Liverpool have won it much more recently than Man U ;-)

Should I be wrong, and Barca beat Man U, and IF Chelsea knock us out, I would genuinely support Chelsea in the final, because they are the English club, and we need more European wins. Believe it or not, I stood cheering on Arsenal a couple of years ago!

Makes complete sense to me.

Question: How does this work? If a supporter of a certain team can only hate other teams regardless, then how does it work when it comes to the national side which may well contain players from the hated team(s)? Would said supporter only partially support the national team or not at all?

I have to laugh (no, not really) at claims of "bad luck" from certain quarters. For real bad luck look no further than the poor old supporters of Rotherham United.

As for last night, I am sorry Liverpool lost the way they did. The referee was certainly....eccentric (dunno how Terry stayed on the pitch) and Drogba must covered the soles of his boots with butter. But Cech was fabulous and Torres not quite at his most clinical

Liverpool can still turn it round though - especially if Chelsea make the mistake of playing for a 0-0 in the return.

I agree you did, and credit to you. As for England, I think you'll find there are a number of supporters across the land who care more for their club side than they do for the national side, and that includes me. If you want to support another club other than your own in a cup competition, fine. I just can't bring myself to do it, and again, there are many, many more like me.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzuzzzzzzzz Christ!

Sham 69 have recorded a Pompey Cup Final Song, I kid ye not..........

Lyrics below!

Hurry Up Harry (revised 2008)

Come on, come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry, come on,

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry Redknapp,

We are going to win the cup,

We are going to win the cup.

Now listen here Harry

If we're going to win the cup,

You're the East End wizard

So make the boys play up

I wish you'd listen to me

We're going back to Wembley

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry, come on,

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry Redknapp,

We are going to win the cup,

We are going to win the cup.

Not since the end of World War 2,

Has the FA Cup been Pompey blue

Win this game, we'll play Europe

The seventeenth of May

It's gonna to be our day.

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry, come on,

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry Redknapp,

We are going to win the cup,

We are going to win the cup.

We've seen off Ipswich, Plymouth,

And beat Preston and Man U,

We did the Baggies

Thanks to king Kanu

And now it's final time

We'll all sing the Pompey chimes

Play up Pompey, Pompey play up. Play up Pompey, Pompey play up

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry, come on,

Come on, come on,

Hurry up Harry Redknapp,

We are going to win the cup,

We are going to win the cup.

    • IMO, Sealy, the best nights sleep you'll ever have.
    • I don’t know what the shop was originally next to the big St Christopher’s but if Holland and Barrett are taking it over then surely it’s good to have a choice on Lordship Lane? The Camberwell H&B is always empty but the Brixton branch busy.  I remember when the Marks & Spencer food shop was Iceland? Now the M&S is a very busy store and at the time regenerated the high street!
    • Nor would I have done, but it came up when I googled John Lewis reviews. Do you not trust TrustPilot reviews? Even allowing for the fact that many people only post reviews when they have had poor service, 27% one star reviews is indicative of something wrong, I would say. That's 27% of 76,392 reviews. That's an awful lot of people who don't  think the service they got from John Lewis was even worth two stars, let alone more. Screenshot attached.
    • Yes I agree much of what they sell  is unhealthy rubbish, but they do have some good things, some of which are not sold by Health Matters (so far as I know) eg sprouted rye bread. Once it's open I slice and freeze it. Though whether they sell that in their shops or just online, I don't know.
