Jah Lush
No apologies necessary. Tottenham are crap at the moment and Blackburn are playing really well with both of their strikers really firing on all cylinders. So even I don't hold out much hope on this one.Birmingham 1 Wigan 1 Chelsea 2 Man City 1 Man U 3 Boro 0 Portsmouth 2 West Ham 0Reading 2 Newcastle 2Sunderland 2 Fulham 0 Bolton 0 Villa 3Derby 0 Everton 2 Liverpool 2 Arsenal 2Spurs 1 Blackburn 2 (doom and gloom) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/28/#findComment-50143 Share on other sites
SimonM
I am just hoping that after last night's amazing dispay at the Emirates, and a hard game on Sunday at Anfield, Arsenal will be feeling deflated and out-of-sorts for a mere Carling Cup clash in Sheffield on Wednesday....Well I can hope can't I? :))Birmingham 2 Wigan 0 Chelsea 1 Man City 1 Man U 4 Boro 0 Portsmouth 2 West Ham 1 Reading 1 Newcastle 3 Sunderland 1 Fulham 0 Bolton 0 Villa 2 Derby 0 Everton 2 Liverpool 1 Arsenal 1 Spurs 1 Blackburn 2 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/28/#findComment-50147 Share on other sites

Ladygooner
SimonM - don't mind you overtaking me in the Fantasy League as I don't have a clue what I am doing on it! However, when it comes to my boys playing your boys - no contest! atila the gooner
CSKA Fulham were EXTREMELY lucky last night to say the least. There was nothing wrong with the Schalke goal that was ruled offside. My loathing for them knows no bounds. atila the gooner
So Bolton have appointed Gary Megson. Just one question. What the f**k do they hope to achieve with such an unimaginative and lame appointment. Small club with no ambition. SeanMacGabhann
he is probably good enough to stabilise them and avoid relegation. Just. And even then only maybeNot sure who else is around who would take the job and do better anywayThere must be some unknowns in the background who are better then the usual suspects when a managerial vacancy came up. Imagine when Graham went from Arsenal if we chose only from the available crop of British Managers.. heaven help usThen again, the FAI tried to be bold with Stan and look where that got them,... atila the gooner
Yes, and now you look like ending up with with David O'Dreary (no, that's not a spelling error). As much as he was a great servant for the Arse, he is a crap manager. atila the gooner
As much as I'd hate to lose him, Liam Brady could do a decent job for you, as he's has been fantastic with our youth team. Jah Lush
Obviously I'm feeling rather gutted today with the way things have been going on at Tottenham Hotspur but Martin Jol's sacking was always going to happen once the board started courting Juande Ramos back in August. I also feel very sorry for Chris Houghton who has been at the club man and boy since 1977. I'm certain that Martin Jol will have success elsewhere and he will be in great demand. He's an excellent coach and a very decent man. I wish them both the very best of luck. I hope the guy gets a good job and comes back to haunt the morons that make up the Spuds board of directors, he deserves it. He has managed to maintain his dignity throughout this whole shambolic episode, which is more than can be said of the idiots on the board.
