I won't be heading to the CPT I'm afraid... Will most likely watch it in a Sydenham bozer, but need a quietish night, as tday was a bit of a struggle. Shame, as I do feel like watching it down there, but can't be doing with the bus there and back again after.

Anyway, come on the pool!

(6) Not impressed at all (6). I get the impression that as we had an "okay" start to the season we've become a little blase and hopefully this will give us the kick up the arse we need. Bring on Spurs on Sunday.

Would have been nice to meet you Keef and Jah (and your neice), however I'm a terrible loser so it's probably a good job I stayed in. Hope you had a nice evening otherwise :))

Would have been nice to meet you too Anna. It was a pleasant evening only spoiled by a terrible Liverpool performance.

I couldn't believe how toothless they were. I can't seem to remember one single shot on goal and this at Anfield too. Marseille thoroughly deserved their win but I see no reason why Liverpool can't go over there and get a result and, if you think you're a bad loser you should hear what comes out of my niece Deborah's mouth shouting at the telly when the Pool are on.

I am rather dreading Sunday as I fear a backlash. They'll want to put on a good performance after last night and Spurs could be their whipping boys.

I wish I had a cool uncle to watch the footy with.

My Dad's brother (as lovely as he is) supports Norwich and I really can't imagine sitting in the pub with him, as I'd imagine it would be quite dull. My Scouse Uncle Tommy, however is very cool B), but he HATES football. He used to me as a kid that I'd grow out of it. :(

Brilliant!! The boss has left early so I've got the Spurs game on in the office. The result should be a forgone conclusion seeing as we're 6-1 up from the first leg but it does give us a chance to give some other players on the fringe of the first team a run out.

Right, I'll get in early so as not to be accused of any wrong doing this time ;-)

    • Hi everyone, we are trying to finslise our decision for enrolling our son for 3+ from September and currently considering Dulwich Prep or Herne Hill. We like both and appreciate there is no right or wrong answer but what we like about HH is great focus on early years and also being coed. However if we can avoid the 7+ stress then prefer to do that. Dulwich Prep is closer but the difference is not significant. we know children are very active and busy in DP and they have great facilities, but unlike HH, we don’t know much about their focus on personal development and emotional intelligence, etc! Also not sure about long-term impact of being in boys only school. Difficult decision for us and we appreciate feedback from parents if you can share please.    thank you
    • Yeah that was their old policy. Their new policy is to force you to have a water meter and if you refuse they put you on a punitively high tariff which effectively forces you to have one. I was doing well with my policy of polite resistance which was to say yes fine I'll have one fitted but then not actually book an appointment or cancel the appointments they made. But then I was persuaded that it would be much cheaper anyway.
