ratty
The Market Porter is also good for footy and has a million tellys down at London Bridge! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/121/#findComment-102067 Share on other sites

mockney piers
Eh? I didn't think the Market Porter had tellies. The one next door does though (wheatsheaf?) so you can drink nice beer in the Porter and then go next door for the match. Perhaps via the spectacularly expensive (but incredibly nice) sausage sandwiches in between. Very similar, wonder where you got the idea from. ;-)The Horseshoe at London Bridge is another good pub for footy. Not too busy to. :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/121/#findComment-102078 Share on other sites
atila the gooner
The market porter doesn't, I worked just around the corner from that watering hole for 8 years, and I certainly don't recall ever seeing a TV screen. The best sporty pubs are ones on Borough High Street. ratty
Maybe I have just gone mad! What's the pub on the riverside with loads of tellies???Fulham did indeed play up on the last game of the season! Good luck to 'em!!It is tradition for us to let teams win so they can stay up - we did the same to relegate the scum when we played the baggies 3 years ago! We do it deliberately - honest! Sandperson
The Horseshoe has got VERY busy since it's been done up. I've been in there a couple of times recently. The St Christophers is a good bet and there are a few others like The Rose if you like a bit of Irish action. mockney piers
Big teams in poaching players by 'reported interest' leaks shock. So Ashton to go to Man U for a laughably insulting 'offer' of ?8 million? I really hope not.I gather free-spending Pompey are also interested. The guy is class and apparently the club haven't even bothered to discuss this with him yet. No wonder we can't hang on to players :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1210-football-focus/page/121/#findComment-102114 Share on other sites

Keef
Fair enough, I knew it never had TV's when I'd been there, but haven't been in for a good few years (usually do the MP when in the area). atila the gooner
Hard luck Palace, I feel your pain. Would have been nice to see you back in the Prem. I've got a soft spot for Palace as I went to the same school as Ben Watsons dad, and Sean Scannell knows my son very well as they went to the same school together and are still good pals to this day. Keef
I was pleased to see Bristol win, nothing against Palace as a club, although plenty against Warnock!I think Bristol in the Prem would be interesting, don't think they'd be a Derby... Certainly their fans deserve it and without the 15 point deduction that would have been up there already.
