Those who live in the modern world can scan cheques on those little computers they keep in their pocket that also act as a phone. If you can find a bank many will have devices to take money out and also scan cheques. That said I haven't cashed one for years or written one even longer. As far as I know the only use of cheques now is buying the Countryfile Calendar. -
Do you know whether Leon would be able to remove old double oven (in wall unit at eye level) and install new? Looks as though may have to splash out to get newer model. -

Since the closure of HSBC bank in ED and Peckham, any cheques we receive (about 5=10 a year) go through LL Post Office. Agree at times long waits. Generally for PO type business - I go to Forest Hill. understand that you cannot process Lloyds Bank cheques through LLane.
