Basilio
Ginger East Dulwich cat found.Hi, I?m Bas and the manager at Brick House caf?. This morning we found a ginger cat lying on the floor out side the bakery. Unfortunately I am bearing bad news. It looks like the cat has been hit by something and it is now no longer with us. I got my partner to bring the cat to the vets at pet at home (Black heath branch) as that is the only one we know that was open on a Sunday. They are trying to scan the cat and see if it was micro chipped. But if anyone knows who the owner is. Please contact me, as they might want to give it a final goodbye. DulwichFox
There is a ginger cat that visits the EDT. it seems to come and go. I do not think it lives there. I have seen this cat in the road .. Lordship lane late at night.. The EDT will know if the cat has gone missing. I'm sure it was there last night. ?? DulwichFoxETA. Thank you for your kind concerns.. Basilio
I'vejust been there. And yes they know the cat(even named it) but unfortunately they don't know the owner. I would post a picture of it but I have not done it to not upset anyone. Hopefully it has a microchip and we find the owner. JW
Oh gosh that's really sad. I was in the EDT last night and the cat was on my lap. It's not a great shot but I've attached it here. KrackersMaracas
It isn't George is it? I do know there are at least two ginger toms which live close to lordship lane, who I've seen nearby and look quite similar. ribrob
Hi Bas,It was indeed George, sadly. We got a call from the vet late this morning, to let us know the bad news and that there had been nothing they could do for him. We'll be going to collect his remains tomorrow. Thanks for everything you did this morning Bas, appreciated. We used to get him collars with our number on it, but he lost so many we gave up on them in the end.Sad as with the collar we'd have heard sooner, we're only live 2 mins from the Brickhouse.I might pop round to the Brickhouse tomorrow to have a quick chat if you're open and about. Thanks again.Shame on whoever it was who ran into him and left to suffer alone.I'll post something else here in the forum, as he was a well know and loved cat.Rob Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/120457-ginger-east-dulwich-cat-found/#findComment-1040089 Share on other sites

DulwichFox
That is very sad. But if it had not been the 'Pub' cat it had to be somebody's cat. He will be sorely missed by staff and customers at the E.D.T. He was a friendly fellow that loved the attention... but moved on when he had had enough. That's what cats do. Really upset about this.DulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/120457-ginger-east-dulwich-cat-found/#findComment-1040097 Share on other sites
JW
He sat on my lap yesterday evening being thoroughly spoilt and he loved the attention. I told my friend he chose me as a fellow ginger. Gorgeous boy, it's really sad to hear and I'm really sorry Rob.
