New mum looking for work helping with bits and bobs

Hello everyone,

I live in Nunhead and recently became a mum for the first time ( hoorah :-) )

I am on the look out for something to do while on maternity leave, ideally something that will allow me to still look after my daughter while earning some extra cash.

My pre-pregnancy job was a claims manager. I have managed a team of 15, carried out training, authorised payments, dealt with complaints ( both written and verbal ) and all the associated day to day duties you would expect of a manager in an office. I have worked in an office my entire working career and therefore am very computer literate and have good literacy skills. I am very very organised and have good common sense.

I can do cleaning, filing, organising books, clothes and paperwork.

I could help with packing for a house move or unpacking.

I'm open to suggestions and flexible with fees. I Also drive and have my own car.

Please bare in mind that any duties would need to be suitable for me to have my daughter with me.

Please PM me if you would like to discuss anything.

Sounds like this site will be right up your street: working mums. They offer loads of flexible and home working opportunities.

Good luck! I'm so impressed that you're able to work, I barely had time to eat or shower when I had my son! :)

    • You could try posting them on here in the for sale section? I have just started buying stuff on Vinted, but I think selling online  is a bit of a faff and  maybe not worth it unless they are expensive designer clothes or especially sought after, especially if you are paying someone else to do it. Apart from the admin side, it's all got to be packed up, labelled and taken to the despatch point. Unless there are ways of doing it which I don't know about!
    • Hello I have a lot of clothes that I have been meaning to sell online for a while and I know i wont get round to it I wondered if anyone knew of a service that will sell these for me and take a cut? Or wanted to do this themselves and take 40%? I thought a school/ university student who wanted to earn some extra cash may be keen? (I have also given a lot to the charity shops in East Dulwich) Thanks Amy
    • Which Tech are phoning at 1.30 today. I expect they would do this, if not I will suggest it, but I'd rather let someone who knows what they are doing deal with it at this point!  I really appreciate everyone's advice on here, so pleased don't think I'm being ungrateful!
